There is a specific activity that my students enjoy doing it. It's a re-writing activity of a text. After learning a short text, it can be either from the coursebook or unseen, I highlight the new words that we learned in the text. Then, my students and I make lists of different words from the same parts of speech. Students have to re-write the text by replacing the highlightened words by other words from the lists. This way students come up with new texts with different meanings.
Through this activity, students have the opportunity to review the new words they learned and to recycle words they learned in previous lessons.
